Jack Nicklaus originally designed it so the DNA is strong... And the history of Park Meadows Country Club in Park City is a fascinating one, going from public course to private course, to finally becoming members-owned in 2002....
General Manager Kathy Volz is a Park Meadows veteran, since she started working there back in 1997 when the course first went private .... She's had plenty of exposure to the golf world, since she used to handle senior PGA-tour events. Over time, Kathy became much more involved in club work so when the tournament went away, she stayed on at Park Meadows.
Despite a sometimes short season of around six months, Kathy and her staff can offer everything a country club does, including an open-tournament week in late summer. With the early spring and late fall last year, Kathy says at 7 months, 2012 was one of longest seasons they've ever had.
Park Meadows is also a very social club, with social and membership committees that introduce members to each other and bring in and reach out to new members. Social events at Park Meadows sell out every time .... In addition to golf, there's another membership just for social activities.... This makes sense for anyone who doesn't golf because they can have access to the fitness center, clubhouse, swimming pool and winter trails...
Food is an important part of any country club, and at Park Meadows, they boast a chef who won a Best of State award .... The club is popular for Christmas parties, and the location is ideal because you can see all three ski resorts...
With an impressive group of members from around the world, Kathy says Park Meadows Country Club still has room to grow. And they look forward to being able to cater to even more families and individuals looking for the ultimate sports and entertainment experience.
