(Washington-AP) -- More than 300,000 Batman Batmobiles by Mattel are being recalled -- due to reports of more than a dozen children being injured by the toys.

Also being recalled are about 70,000 ride-on toy trucks by Tek Nek Toys, based in Texas.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the Batmobiles have rear tail wings made of hard plastic rising to a sharp point and posing a potential hazard.

The ride-on trucks being recalled have a malfunctioning screw and nut assembly attaching the steering wheel to the toy. It can come loose, posing a potential choking hazard.

The model number on the Batmobile is B-4-9-4-4, found on the bottom of the toy. Consumers can reach Mattel at 888-271-9891 or at www.service.mattel.com.

The Tek Nek toys were sold under five model names: Butterfly Girl, Fire Rescue, Mermaid, Police Car and Tonka Construction Crew. Tek Nek's number is 888-661-0222. Its Web site is www.teknektoys.com.
