"AMERICAN GANGSTER" - RUSSELL CROWE
The real life detective portrayed in "American Gangster" wanted Russell Crowe to make him look good, but Crowe was more into telling the truth. Crowe says it's only natural for someone who's portrayed in movie to want his best side out there. He says Richie Roberts asked him not to make him out to be a womanizer "even though he had lots and lots of stories about being just that." He says Roberts was so anxious to impress him, he borrowed a Jaguar to drive him home and wouldn't stop even though he had a flat tire that ended up ruining the rim and other parts of the car.
