Family history work has taken place at the Utah State Prison for more than 20 years. Last year inmates indexed a record 1,506,115 names for the Church's Family Search Indexing program. The work of these patrons makes it easier for family history researchers to find information to submit for temple work.

Brooke Walker went inside the prison to share what's being done inside the Wasatch Family History Center and to get perspective from the prisoners who spend countless hours doing family history work.
