Fort Wayne Police are searching for a woman who, at 11:52 a.m. Friday, robbed Chase Bank, 204 E. Pettit Ave.
The woman entered the bank, formerly Bank One, and showed a note with a demand for money, a police report said. The woman did not show a weapon, but police said she was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing south on foot.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The last bank robbery in Fort Wayne occurred at 10:35 a.m. Nov. 29 at Grabill Bank, 1115 Avenue of Autos. A woman with a handgun entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount. She was described as a white female with long black hair in a ponytail; investigators believe she might have left the bank in a vehicle.
Friday's robbery suspect was described as a heavy-set white female, about 5 feet 4 inches tall. She was wearing a dark blue fleece hooded jacket with a camouflage pattern and tan pants.
It's unclear whether the two robberies are connected.
The robberies remain under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor's office and the Northeast Indiana Bank Robbery Task Force.
