SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah is set to square off with the visiting USC Trojans Saturday in what will be the biggest game of the year to this point for either team.

Utah will certainly be focused on the moment, but is also looking to the future as many highly-touted recruits will be making their official visits this weekend.

Leading off the group is quarterback Jayden Daniels, a four-star dual-threat recruit. He is the highest-ranked quarterback in the nation who remains uncommitted to a school. His recruitment has always been important to the Utes, but with the recent announcement of last year's prized recruit, Jack Tuttle, transferring, it seems to have an increased importance.

Daniels will be joined on his visit by running back Daniel Fortune and Darren Jones, teammates to Daniels at Cajon High School in San Bernardino, California. Jones, a 6-foot-8 four-star wide receiver, has already verbally committed to the Utes.

Utah has proved successful at recruiting a quarterback, running back, and wide receiver from the same school. Current starters Tyler Huntley, Zach Moss and Demari Simpkins were all recruited out of Hallandale High School. Utah looks to be trying to duplicate the same success out of Cajon High School.

Not all the recruits visiting this weekend are coming from San Bernardino, though. Aaron Lowe, a Utah commit, will also be visiting from Mesquite, Texas. Lowe announced his commitment to the Utes on July 29 and has been lobbying for the Utes on social media.

Most recently on Twitter, when Daniels tweeted about his official visit to Utah this weekend, Lowe nugged him by tweeting: “Make that move fam.”

Jalen Cropper, a four-star athlete out of Clovis, California will also be visiting as the Utes take on the Trojans. The Buchannon High School star plays both offense and defense and could be used in several ways for the Utes.

Rounding out the list is offensive lineman Dohnovan West, who stands at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds. He is a talent that Utah’s offensive line and assistant head coach Jim Harding would love to add to the mix. West comes from Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California.
