CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia has been awarded a $3.6 million federal grant for suicide prevention programs for young people.
Department of Health and Human Resources Cabinet Secretary Karen L. Bowling announced the funding Friday for the Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities.
The funding will target West Virginians ages 10 to 24.
The five-year grant comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
