FILLMORE, Utah (AP) -- Authorities say a hunting excursion may be linked to the death of a five-year-old boy, who was killed in a collision in Millard County.

A Utah Highway Patrol spokesman says an SUV was traveling about 20 to 30 miles-per-hour along State Road 100 near Fillmore when it tried to make a left turn onto a dirt road, possibly for hunting.

Authorities say that's when a semi, which was trying to pass, crashed into the SUV, ejecting the boy. The semi then rolled and killed the boy.

Two people were also taken to the hospital in critical condition. The semi driver suffered only minor injuries.

Authorities believe alcohol may be involved in the accident, which remains under investigation.
