(KSL News) A lot of lawns look a lot better tonight, after the work of several hundred volunteers.
Utah Food Bank Services organized a leaf hauling project. Nearly 500 volunteers worked on a couple hundred lawns of low income seniors and disabled people; raking leaves, bagging them up and hauling them away.
Jim Pugh/ Exec. Dir., Utah Food Bank Services: "This is a huge service. Most of the seniors that we're working with are low income, homebound, they don't have a lot of family in the area, and they really can't provide these services on their own."
Volunteers for the Utah Food Bank Services do a number of projects like this every year, helping hundreds of seniors.
