(KSL News) -- A 16-year-old mother was shot in the chest at a Salt Lake City motel.
The teen says she was shot by a stranger, but police are looking for her boyfriend, who is considered a suspect, and they want more information on what happened.
A small child that was in the room is now in custody of the state.
The mother is in stable condition at LDS Hospital.
