(KSL News) -- The candidates in Utah's Third Congressional District faced off this evening on Eyewitness News. Bruce Lindsey moderated a debate, between Congressman Chris Cannon and Democrat Christian Burridge.

It was part of "Decision 2006: A Conversation with the Candidates." Cannon and Burridge, sparred over several issues, including Iraq and the minimum wage.

Rep. Chris Cannon, (R) Utah: "I've always voted against a minimum wage because the most it will do is you raise it so high that people will stop hiring people."

Christian Burridge, (D) Candidate for Congress: "There are people all over this state that are on minimum wage and would like an increase in their pay."

Election Day is only two weeks away.

KSL will host three more sets of candidates for Decision 2006. You can submit questions and vote for issues you'd like us to address during these Conversations with the Candidates.

Tomorrow night at 6:30 we'll be talking with Senate candidates, Orrin Hatch and Pete Ashdown.
