(KSL News) Criminal charges against a Southwest Airline co-pilot who was removed from a plane at Salt Lake International Airport will be dropped.

Carl Fulton from Fort Worth, Texas was removed from a plane after a security screener smelled alcohol.

Documents filed in federal court say the case is being dismissed "in the interest of justice."

A spokewoman say there wasn't enough evidence to charge Fulton with operating a common carrier under the influence.
