(KSL News) - There are new details this morning about a car chase that led police on a multi-county manhunt. A Morgan County Sheriff's Deputy noticed two vehicles around a fishing area near Mountain Green in Morgan.

He asked two men for their fishing licenses and IDs. The deputy ran the first man's information and turned up warrants for stolen vehicles.

At that point, the man, Donald Propst, fled on foot into a wooded area and lost the deputy. Crews from around the valley were called in and a manhunt from the ground and sky began. Propst was then spotted in a vehicle across the street from a nearby mill.

Chief Deputy Kevin Edwards, Morgan County Sheriff's Office: "Then he got into some vehicles up there, stole a truck, tried to run the deputy over. The deputy fired a couple of shots at the tires."

Propst then led police on a car chase down Weber Canyon, on nothing but rims. It came to an end in a field just west of Ogden Regional Hospital.

Propst is booked in the Weber County Jail. If you have any information on the second suspect who also fled the scene, call the Morgan or Weber County Sheriff's Office.
