PRICE, Utah (AP) -- With dozens of people and dogs, authorities set out Saturday for a final formal search for the remains of a baby who was swept away by a flood that also killed his brother in July.

"Hopefully the dogs will be able to pick up (a scent) if in fact Jayden is buried in the silt," said Capt. Guy Adams of the Carbon County sheriff's office. "If there is no evidence at all he is there, then we are done."

The search for Jayden Seal was focused on a five-mile stretch of Garleys Wash leading to the Price River.

The Seal family was riding in a 1980 Ford Bronco on July 30 when a wall of water from a sudden storm flipped the vehicle. Levi Seal, 5, was killed, and a sister, Brooklynn, 2, was injured.

Jayden, 1, was not found and is presumed dead.

If the boy was swept into Price River, he "could be anywhere from here to Lake Powell," Adams said.

The family will continue searching Sunday, even if the sheriff's office won't have a formal role. Volunteers are asked to gather at Carbon County Golf Course on U.S. 6 in Helper.

"I have a lot of hope," Jayden's mother, Courtney Seal, said.
