(KSL News) -- The Navajo Nation Council has passed legislation ending a decades old land dispute.

The legislation removes a freeze on development on land bordering the Navajo and Hopi Indian reservations.

As part of the agreement, members of each tribe will be able to cross the border without a permit, in order to perform religious ceremonies.
