(KSL News) -- A gathering of bikers in Salt Lake City this afternoon will soon help some sick kids. About 25-hundred members of the Utah Motorcycle Foundation and the Utah Blaze teamed up to hand out toys at Primary Children's.

Over the past five weeks, the bikers and the community have collected about 28-thousand dollars worth of toys to give to the hospital.

Ralph Vernor, Utah Motorcycle Foundation: "Everybody thinks that bikers have this big tough perception, but if you look around you'll see nothing but a lot of hugs given out today. Bikers are more into cell phones than knives anymore. And the state of Utah they have the best bikers in the world."

All these toys will take care of about 25-percent of Primary Children's toy needs for the year.
