(KSL News) An Ogden man who didn't pay his taxes is now in jail.

H. Douglas Goff was found in contempt of court for failing to file his income taxes after a judge ordered him to do so.

Goff and his wife failed to file tax returns from 1996 to 2002.

In February, Goff tried to argue that "compensation" is not "income" under federal and state income tax laws.

The Tax Commission and Attorney General's Office want to remind citizens of their obligations to file their income taxes and obey court orders.
