(KSL News) -- Salt Lake Police finally caught up with an 18-year-old man wanted for a domestic abuse incident.

It happened last Friday. Police say that's when the suspect broke down his mother's door and attacked the people inside, including his ex-girlfriend.

By the time police got there, he was gone.

Early this morning police got a call from their man. He wanted to turn himself in at Jordan Park in South Salt Lake.

When they arrived he ran again, but this time police caught up to him. He's now facing charges of domestic violence and burglary.
