(KSL News) Labor Day weekend is almost over. But for thousands of commuters the drive home is not.
Still, lots of Utah drivers started on the road back early. There was a steady stream of cars near Point of the Mountain by 6:00 this evening.
Other motorists were making their way home on Interstate 80 through Parley's Canyon two hours later.
Labor Day ends what law enforcement call the "101 deadliest days of the year." But so far today we have not heard of any major accidents.
As Eyewitness News has reported, 11 people have died on Utah roadways this weekend. Troopers say drowsy driving caused the majority of those fatal crashes.
The Highway Patrol told us tonight that those 11 deaths are what it usually sees on Labor Day.
