What ever you do, don't make Betty Horton mad, ever!

Betty Horton: "Ask my boss, I have a hot temper, but I get over it fast."

And by all means, don't steal her purse. On Wednesday afternoon she was putting groceries in her car when a guy about 5-10, in his late 30's grabbed her purse and started running.

Betty Horton: "And I just shoved like this, grabbed my keys, and I come around here and he was heading down that way. 'That guy, he's got my purse, he somebody help me. He's going over there now, call the police.'"

We asked Betty to explain step by step as to what happened that day. We told her she didn't have to actually run, but that didn't stop her.

Betty Horton: "I was huffin and puffin by the time I got around the corner, but I didn't care."

Betty Horton: "That's open, so I thought maybe he had come back here to hide."

A couple kids over the fence motioned that he was hiding around the corner of the building.

Betty Horton: "He was right back there. And I said, 'Why'd you do it? Why'd you do it?'"

The man didn't answer until Betty demanded that he put the purse down.

Betty: "Because if you don't, and I get a hold of it and there's a gun in there, I'll shoot your ear off or I'll take your toe, because you're not going to take my purse away from me."

The man handed over her purse and the three dollars that was in it. The man apologized and said he was having a tough time. Betty gave him the three bucks, along with one last piece of advice.

Betty Horton: "And I said, 'Now get the hell out of here because the cops are going to be here any minute.'"

The man took off. Betty hopes he has learned a lesson. By the way, this the second time that Betty has been a purse snatch victim. The first guy got away, but she wasn't about to let it happen again.
