OREM, Utah (AP) -- A 27-year-old man has been arrested in the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl.

It happened last week at an Orem apartment near 1700 South Village Lane.

Police say the Utah Valley State College student was reportedly watching a movie with his 19-year-old female roommate and her sister.

Officers say the young girl, who was visiting from Alabama, then went to bed in her sister's room. While the sister apparently slept on the couch.

A police report says the 14-year-old then woke up to the man touching her genital area over her clothes.

He was booked into the Utah Valley Jail for investigation of forcible sex abuse.
