(KSL News) A car slammed into a woman crossing the street in downtown Salt Lake City.

Police say a woman in her 20's was crossing 900 South and 700 East on a red light. Two drivers didn't see her and cruised through a green light.

Lt. Gary Layton/Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "She was narrowly missed by the first car that came by, and the second car did hit her."

The impact threw the woman several feet.

She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Officials are still trying to figure out who the woman is. She wasn't carrying any identification. The woman is in intensive car, so police haven't been able to talk to her. They hope taking fingerprints will help them find out who she is.
