Randall Jeppesen reportingSalt Lake's largest patriotic celebration, "The Freedom Blast," has officially been canceled. Organizers say it's because of a lack of ticket sales.

The Freedom Blast has scheduled the star country music band, Sugarland, a motocross big air competition and plenty of heart tugging patriotic moments.

"Very sad to see any kind of Fourth of July celebration canceled," says Taylor McDonald with the Stadium of Fire.

McDonald says putting these massive shows together is extremely difficult, and they don't want people planning on Freedom Blast to go without.

"Anybody who holds a ticket to Freedom Blast can exchange their tickets for a free ticket to the Stadium of Fire," says McDonald.

Through a deal worked out with the University of Utah ticket office, everyone who purchased tickets to the Freedom Blast will receive the same number of tickets in the mail to the Stadium of Fire at LaVell Edwards Stadium. No action is required by the ticketholder, they will be mailed automatically.
