Shelley Osterloh Reporting Firefighters rush to save a burning home, but then head toward the wrong house.

The person who first spotted the flames called in the wrong address. But firefighters made a quick correction enroute. They saw which house was actually burning because it is practically across the street from the fire station.

About a dozen firefighters doused the flames near 7th East and 106th South within a few minutes. There was some damage in the back of the house, but it was an abandoned home and scheduled to be demolished soon anyway.

Fire officials consider it a successful morning.

Don Rosenkranz, Sandy Fire Dept.: "No injuries to firefighters or surroundings. No problems with neighbors. Everything was done well."

Because the house is abandoned, the fire is suspicious. Transients have been seen going in and out of the house.

Investigators will try to find out whether this was arson.
