(KSL News) -- This weekend will give you a chance to see some serious flying.

An air show at Hill Air Force Base will feature the Thunderbirds. The show marks the 50th anniversary of the Air Force Thunderbirds' first appearance at Hill Air Force Base.

Even the performers are looking forward to the big finale.

Major John Klatt, Air National Guard Pilot: "I love my air show program, but I gotta say, to watch the power of the Thunderbirds and see all those F-16's at close proximity...it's hard to stack up to a team with that much power."

In between air shows, you can check out displays of vintage warbirds and modern aircraft on the ground.

The show will take place Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. It's free to the public.
