SANDY, Utah (AP) -- A Sandy man accused of driving away without paying for his gas last month has been charged.

The 23-year-old man now faces second-degree felony robbery.

Court documents says when the store clerk asked the man if he was going to pay, the man threatened to kill him. Court records say the clerk then stood in front of the man's car, but the man tried to run him over. However, the clerk managed to jump onto the hood of the car.

But as the man was leaving the parking lot, authorities say the clerk fell off. He suffered minor injuries.
