Paul Nelson ReportingA recent arrest of 15 illegal immigrants traveling through Utah comes as no surprise to security officials. Some say traffic use Utah's roads every day.

Traffickers of illegal immigrants may avoid using the big freeways like I-15 in Salt Lake City, but officials say they go through Southern Utah all the time.

Lt. Todd Peterson: "We have quite a bit of this type of traffic on SR 191, which is the main north-south route."

UHP Lt. Todd Peterson says they also see traffickers use SR 95 and I-70 itself.

Lt. Todd Peterson: "They try and take routes that limit their exposure, like in our area it's fairly remote."

Peterson says by the time traffickers get to Utah, they've been driving for eight to ten hours and become a danger to other drivers.
