(KSL News) -- A car hit a bike this afternoon in Riverton.

An 18-year old girl was at about 13600 south and turned onto 2700 west. She hit a 42-year old man riding a bike.

He suffered serious lacerations and was Lifeflighted to LDS Hospital.

The investigation is still underway, but a Sheriff's spokesman says early indications are that the driver didn't see the bike rider coming and cut in front of him.
