Utahns to be Honored on Missing Children's Day

(KSL News) -- A Utah couple will be honored at a National Missing Children's Day ceremony in Washington, DC today.

Mike Butcher and Chasity Angells, of Ivins, will receive the Amber Citizen Award.

The pair spotted a car named in an Amber Alert on New Year's Eve last year. They called 911, then followed the car.

Within minutes, police safely recovered two young brothers who had been kidnapped by their mother.

Another Utahn will be honored in that ceremony today. MicKenzie Smith will receive the National Courage award.

Damon Crist tried to kidnap then 12-year-old MicKenzie and her brother, but MicKenzie yelled and hit Crist until he let them go.
