LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper will plead guilty to felony reckless driving in an on-the-job freeway crash that killed four people and left a pregnant teen critically injured in February.
28-year-old Joshua Corcran waived his right to a preliminary hearing today (Monday) and had his case bound over to Clark County District Court for a plea June eighth.
Corcran could get probation or to up to 30 years in prison.
Authorities say Corcran was rushing home for dinner -- driving 113 miles-per-hour -- when his marked N-H-P cruiser slammed into the rear of a 1998 Cadillac. The speed limit was 65.
Killed were four illegal Mexican immigrants who lived and worked in the Saint George (Utah) area.
The only survivor -- 16-year-old Cecilia Lopez Cruz, was four months pregnant with twins. Her unborn babies were said to be O-K. But she was badly hurt.
Killed were her 21-year-old husband, her 21-year-old sister, a 42-year-old relative, and a 19-year-old family friend.
