Paul Nelson ReportingA two-year-old boy who fell into a fountain near his home has died.

Two-year old Dallin Greenwood was pulled off life support this morning.

On Saturday the toddler wandered away from his home in Sandy.

He was found in a fountain at his apartment complex.

Apparently he was attracted to the water because it was full of bubbles, the result of a prank.

Sandy Sergeant Victor Quezada says whoever put the soap in the fountain likely won't see charges specific to the boy's death, because there was no intent to hurt him. Residents say this fountain is filled with soap all the time.

Neighbor Brandon Ritchie says it's surprising something so seemingly harmless could turn into this kind of tragedy.

Investigators say the door was locked, but the boy was able to reach the deadbolt to let himself out while his mother was taking a shower.

Searchers said they walked past the pond several times and never saw the boy. They said he'd been in the water for about 15 minutes when they finally discovered him.
