(KSL News) -- Brothers from Salt Lake go on trial for the same crime, but only one is convicted.

Alejandro Carrillo and Raul Carrillo were charged with killing 18-year-old Daniel Johnson in 2004.

Johnson was at a party. The Carrillo brothers and some friends crashed it. A fight started. Johnson was stabbed and bled to death.

Police believe Raul stabbed Johnson, while Alejandro provided the knife.

A judge ruled Raul was guilty of manslaughter, then aquitted Alejandro.

The brothers' father says he's relieved his youngest son will go free, and he's preparing to support the older one as he heads to prison for one to 15 years.
