Kerry Barrett ReportingThere are about 300 airmen that just arrived back from Balad Air Base in Iraq. We've been following them since they were preparing to deploy. We stayed with them through their deployment and now, their arrival back home.

They arrived just after 4:00 this afternoon in a jumbo jet. One of the families we've been following is that of Captain Chris Vasquez.

Aubry Vasquez, Wife: "I'm just so excited. I can't wait to just sit down with him, and it's so good to have him and watch him with the kids again. It's just wonderful, so exciting. It almost feels not real, surreal."

Capt. Chris Vasquez: "What am I thinking right now? I'm thinking that I'm so excited to see my family. And I'm also happy to be home in a country that is by far the best."

We also caught up with Capt. Vasquez while he was in Iraq, where he talked about missing his family as one of the hardest parts of being deployed.
