FARMINGTON — Police say they have conflicting information about what sort of substance was involved in a suspected overdose death of a 17-year-old boy Friday night.
Farmington Police Chief Wayne Hansen said the boy, whose identity has not been released, was with three friends when they took some sort of drug, possibly LSD.
Two of the boy's friends required emergency medical attention and were treated at an area hospital and later released.
Hansen added that police won't know for sure what was ingested until toxicology reports come back. He suspected additional information would be available late in the week.
"It is a real tragedy," he said Sunday.
