OREM — A man and a woman were arrested for alleged drug possession and distribution at a trailer park Monday.
Detectives searched trailer park manager Helena Avila’s residence at 597 N. State St. and found methamphetamine, several pills combined in a single container and several items of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Avila told police officers she had sold methamphetamine from her office and let people into her room to conduct drug sales, a probable cause statement said.
She said she would receive phone calls from people wishing to buy methamphetamine, and she’d contact a drug dealer and allow them to weigh, package and sell the drugs in her bedroom, police said.
Avila allegedly obtained drugs for her facilitation in these encounters.
Avila submitted to a drug test, which showed positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepines, according to officials.
Avila’s boyfriend Jeffrey Rouse was with her at the time of arrest, and police arrested him as well.
Avila was booked into the Utah County Jail in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia, Schedule IV Controlled Substance DFZ and Schedule II Controlled Substance DFZ and also distribution of methamphetamine.
Rouse was booked into the Utah County Jail in connection with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
