CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Emergency workers in Charlotte say 15 people were hurt when a school bus ran down an embankment and hit a house.
The Charlotte Fire Department told local media outlets that the wreck happened about shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The Medic emergency medical service said the injuries are minor. It was not immediately clear how many students were on the bus. The driver was briefly trapped in the bus.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said the bus was carrying students to Randolph Middle School.
No one in the house was hurt.
Officials say the bus went off the road and hit a parked car before continuing down the hill, hitting a house.
