ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A stabbing inside a boy's bathroom at a high school near West Palm Beach has put one student in the hospital and another in custody.
Palm Beach Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto tells WPTV (http://bit.ly/1TWsWBG ) that the boy was stabbed around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at Royal Palm Beach Community High School, and flown to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
The station reports that the suspect was immediately apprehended after the stabbing. He's facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
School Superintendent Robert Avossa says the weapon was a pocketknife.
Classes are continuing at the school as authorities investigate.
