SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say firefighters went up a mountain by snowmobile to fight a blaze at a ski-in restaurant at Solitude resort outside Salt Lake City.

The blaze started Friday afternoon at the eatery known as the Roundhouse or Himalayan Hut. The resort that's closed for the season and no one was inside the building.

The fire sent a plume of smoke above the tree line at the snow-covered canyon.

Unified Fire spokesman David Ulibarri says it's difficult to get access to water since there aren't any hydrants and the water service is off for the season, but crews are making do with water from a small culinary line.
