Exchange student dies in Holmdel crash

HOLMDEL, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a 23-year-old exchange student from Denmark has died from injuries sustained in a two-car crash in Holmdel.

The crash occurred Friday morning on Route 34.

Monmouth County prosecutor spokesman Charles Webster tells the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/1QaINOA ) a vehicle was trying to make a left turn when it collided with the car where Emil Tellerup was a backseat passenger.

A 21-year-old exchange student from Switzerland and a Colts Neck couple also were injured in the crash along with the driver of the other vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
