FORT HALL, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say a 7-year-old girl died and her three siblings and mother were injured after a tractor-trailer blew a tire and crossed into oncoming traffic on Interstate 15 in southeast Idaho.

Police say the southbound tractor-trailer struck the family's northbound 2007 Chevrolet 1500 pickup at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the girl died at the scene, and three other children were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Their ages and names haven't been released.

Police say the children's 39-year-old mother, Elena Holbrook of Blackfoot, was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center.

The hospital on Wednesday listed her in good condition. The hospital declined to release information about the children.

Police say seatbelts and child seats were in use at the time of the crash.

Police say 60-year-old tractor-trailer driver Terry Laeger of Pocatello was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
