SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) — A second University of Rhode Island football player has been dismissed from the team after a fight at a campus fraternity.

A spokeswoman for the university confirmed to WPRI-TV (http://bit.ly/1QXcgKj ) that 19-year-old Barrett Lyons, of Belmont, Massachusetts, was removed from the team following his arrest on charges of assault and disorderly conduct.

Lyons and 20-year-old Michael LeBlanc of Charlton, Massachusetts — who also faces assault and disorderly conduct charges — were arrested early Sunday morning after the incident at Chi Phi fraternity house.

Police said three fraternity brothers were treated for injuries at a hospital.

LeBlanc has also been dismissed from the team and five other players face suspensions.

Police have not said what may have led to the fight and it's not known if the players were represented by attorneys.
