HURRICANE, Utah (AP) — A high-speed chase in Hurricane County ended when the suspect crashed into a Hurricane City police officer's vehicle.
The Spectrum in St. George reports (http://bit.ly/1Iz9O6S ) that a 32-year-old man in a stolen Dodge Charger took off Sunday morning after a Washington County deputy tried to pull him over.
Officials say the driver reached speeds of up to 100 mph as he tore through Toquerville, LaVerkin and Hurricane. Finally, the driver ran stop signs before crashing into the officer's vehicle. There were no passengers in the car.
When the driver is medically cleared, officials say he will be booked into the Washington County jail on investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading the police and reckless driving, among other charges.
