MIDVALE, Utah (AP) — A 39-year-old woman has serious head, leg and arm injuries after police say her teenage son ran her over following a family argument.
The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1OX7tM5 ) that police say the woman was dragged under a Dodge Journey SUV after her 17-year-old son ran her over at about 5:30 Monday afternoon.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says she was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray and her condition was improving Monday night.
Hoyal says the boy accelerated away from the house, turned onto a sidewalk and crashed into a mailbox and light pole before hitting a parked SUV and running home on foot.
He later ran away from the house and was arrested.
Hoyal says police will investigate hit-and-run and aggravated domestic assault charges.
