SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A bridge at the University of Utah will be illuminated with blue light to raise awareness about autism Thursday.
The lights will go at the George S. Eccles Legacy Bridge in Salt Lake City in honor of World Autism Awareness Day at nightfall, and stay on throughout the night for the second year in a row.
University officials say the state's autism rates are consistently above average, with one in 54 children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
