WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg plans to be back on the bench for oral arguments Monday after having a stent implanted today.

That's according to a court spokeswoman, who says the 81-year-old justice was taken to a Washington hospital by ambulance last night after suffering discomfort while exercising. A blockage was discovered in her right coronary artery and a stent was inserted.

Ginsburg has for years been fending off questions about whether she should leave the court, brought on in part by her health. She had colon cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009 and has suffered broken ribs. Still, she has not missed any time on the job, and she has continued to make dozens of public appearances and speeches around the country.

She has served on the court since President Bill Clinton appointed her in 1993.
