LAS VEGAS (AP) — McCarran airport officials say a $67 million construction project to swap out asphalt for more durable concrete is closing the airport's longest runway until May next year. Airport officials say they don't expect flight delays or disruptions because of the work on the last of the airport's four runways to be converted to concrete.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Clark County judge denied a state attorney general request to temporarily shut down ride-sharing company Uber. The temporary order was sought by the Nevada Transportation Authority. The judge said yesterday Uber doesn't pose immediate risks to public safety, appearing to agree with Uber attorneys that Nevada may have sought the order against the wrong company.
