SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Health insurance rates on Utah's federally-run online marketplace are about 5.7 percent higher this year.
Utah Insurance Department Commissioner Todd Kiser updated lawmakers on the latest plans for the health care website on Thursday.
The website is a hallmark of President Barack Obama's health care law and it debuted last year.
Kiser says anyone who enrolled in a plan last year should shop around to see if they can get a better deal as things have shifted.
Assistant Commissioner Tanji Northrup says the department is recommending 108 plans for the marketplace this year. Last year, 96 were offered.
Federal officials running the marketplace have final approval on those plans.
People can begin enrolling in plans on the website starting Nov. 15.
