A statue's questionable likeness
Real Madrid's international superstar and Armani model Cristiano Ronaldo was in Madeira to celebrate the renaming of his hometown's airport to Cristiano Ronaldo Airport. At the ceremony, they revealed a bust made to celebrate the star. So far, so good, right?
Well, it goes poorly from here.
That is not a very good representation of Ronaldo's looks. But good news: with just a few edits, everything will be fine!
Oh no.
Punting a cake
It was Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr's 26th birthday Wednesday, and so his teammate and punter Marquette King found a unique way to celebrate: he punted a birthday cake.
Well filmed, too.
Green jacket for sale
Perhaps the only Masters green jacket in circulation, the "thrift store" jacket is now at auction for the next 10 days. I'll let the auctioneer tell the story:
Sitting in a stack of previously-worn blazers at a Toronto thrift store was the unthinkable – an original Masters Tournament Green Jacket with a price tag of $5. The familiar green color of the jacket, and its iconic breast patch, went unnoticed by consignment shop workers and customers. That is, until an avid golfer saw this piece of clothing and knew exactly what it was - not just a green jacket, butThe Green Jacket. ... The internal tagging definitively dates the jacket to the early 1950s - one of the earliest green jackets in existence. But the original owner’s name was tantalizingly cut out of the jacket. Augusta National Golf Club may have unintentionally fanned the flames of speculation, as they confirmed the jacket’s authenticity but then refused to answer any questions as to the identity of its original owner.
Right now, bidding is up to $10,717. We'll be watching to see at what price the jacket is sold.
