SALT LAKE CITY — Recent storms from the weekend and Monday resulted in large hailstones and flooding, and several residents captured incredible photos.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the Salt Lake City National Weather Service Monday around 12:30 p.m. due to quarter-sized hailstones in the Salt Lake Valley. Officials urged residents to take cover and to get to the bottom floor in their residence.

Murray, Midvale, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights and Grantsville were among the areas hit by the storm Monday afternoon. A flood advisory was also issued until 3:45 p.m. and commuters were asked to drive with caution. Interstate 80 and other roadways were covered in standing water during the early afternoon.
Residents also submitted photos of several accidents that occurred throughout the week.
