WEST VALLEY CITY — Police were searching for a gunman Tuesday after a man was shot at an apartment complex following an argument.

The victim was in good condition after a gunshot "grazed … the side of his head" at 3836 W. Rockwood Way about 2:15 p.m., said West Valley Police Lt. Jeff Conger.

The shooting followed an argument in front of some apartments at the same address. Police believe the victim was inside his apartment when the other man "started shooting around" at him, Conger said.

Conger said the man fled the scene in an orange Chevrolet Avalanche.

Anyone with information about the incident can call West Valley police at 801-840-4000.
